Towards the end of the day today I was drawing and coloring with the kids. I was drawing a bunch of flowers and I told them, “you know, you guys are like a bunch of flowers. You all look different but you’re all beautiful.”

Benji, a third grader, looks up from his picture and says, “yeah, but we don’t all smell like flowers.”
